About the event
BLOOMBOX was a group exhibition and DJ event curated by Laura Lohiaita and Hilda Kahra, taking place at Avoin Kasvihuone / Open Greenhouse in Vallila, Helsinki on August 1st 2025. In addition to art and music, the one-night event included collaborative pizza baking and cooking in the Greenhouse’s stone oven.

Work
Lohiaita’s artistic contribution was a site-specific installation Drip Feed, which consisted of three ice sculptures hung from the greenhouse ceiling, melting slowly into the soil below. The sculptures were dyed with turmeric, beetroot, nettle, coffee and blue food dye.
